I signed up this week, thinking I'd more time to choose a snippet to post, but as it turns out, I'm rushed. So, here are a few lines, randomly chosen, from Against the Wind, currently available at Amazon. This is a little something from when my hero and heroine first met, six years earlier. Michael is the one remembering. Blair has just told him she was a sophomore at an exclusive private college, but that she'd wanted to fly jets. She never told her parents. Michael speaks first:
She’d looked at him, the moon reflected in her eyes. “It’s not something they would expect from me.”
He wanted to ask what they did expect, but he knew. A good marriage to a successful member of their social set. She wouldn’t get that from him.
But he knew what he could give her. “Want to come fly with me?”
(Michael did have a pilot's license.)
