I've been working on a novella for the past few weeks. The story is moving along, but isn't finished. This is a continuation of the scene I posted last week. Izzy and Mia are sisters at their brother's wedding (Michael, the hero of Against the Wind, is marrying Blair). We've already learned that Izzy, the youngest sister, is a bit immature. These six sentences are still in Mia's POV.
“That's what I want,” Izzy said in a dreamy voice. “A guy who loves me as much as Michael loves Blair.”
Dream on, Mia thought. Other than her brothers, whose overprotectiveness drove her crazy at times, most guys couldn't be counted on to do more than leave misery in their wake.
Her ex boss was a prime example.
She closed her eyes briefly and tried to forget the crazy notion that she'd seen him getting on the elevator in the lobby.
Comments are welcome!

Here's a picture of the of the secluded beach area where the wedding takes place.
